As a senior member of the automation team you will define and demonstrate best practise for the management and implementation of robotic process automation and lead by example to ensure the smooth running of the key finance processes. You will also be responsible for the maintenance, support and effective delivery of the suite of implemented processes.

You will be a key member of the newly created and growing Finance Shared Services Robotics Centre of Excellence working with both onshore and offshore team members to provide automation services to both the finance teams and the wider EDF business community. You will report to the Improvement & Transition Manager and will be responsible for the day to day management of robotic process automation landscape, adding to and managing the delivery of the pipeline of work and supporting the finance community.
Day to Day:

  • Drive efficiencies across the finance community by managing and delivering robust, secure and sustainable automations of existing manual processes.

  • Work with the IT teams to understand the systems landscape and manage the impact of any changes on the RPA landscape.
  • Organise and participate in the management and monitoring required to ensure the smooth running of the RPA landscape.
  • Provide education services by designing and delivering ‘Art of the Possible’ sessions to grow stakeholder engagement.

The Person

You will have a deep understanding of the automation software and be able to do your own research both to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement. You are a technology expert who can drive business efficiencies by building an understanding of the IT landscape and system usage.

  • Collaborative: Strong engagement is required with stakeholders at various levels within the Finance Community and across EDF in the UK.
  • Communicative: Excellent communication skills with the ability to clarify expectations and drive alignment.
  • Proactive: A “can-do” approach, ability and willingness to quickly grasp and tackle new projects.
  • Innovative: Ability to think outside the box with a continuous improvement mind-set.
  • Passionate: A strong passion for robotics, automation, analytics and emerging digital technologies, with the eagerness to really make a difference.
  • Organised: Ability to deal with conflicting priorities, co-ordinating accordingly in order to meet set deadlines.

The Skills
