Product Developer

The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Product Developer to help develop new and existing electricity tariff products, for Industrial & Commercial business customers and generators.

You’ll really influence how successful we are as a business. By leading the development of our internal capabilities and processes, you’ll ensure EDF remains relevant to its customers, and competitive in delivering against their needs. The impact of the products you develop will be tangible – evidenced by the sales we make off the back of them.

Managing the delivery of product developments, you will scope and plan the work needed, write the business cases and coordinate updates to our product terms and conditions. You will work with a talented, diverse and passionate team to add real value to the company. 

Your key relationships will be with our Sales, Commercial, Pricing, Legal and Marketing teams.

The Person

As a Product Developer you will be doing:

  • Conduct product research by talking to customers and internal stakeholders to better understand customer problems and prioritise product improvements
  • Consult business experts to define product features
  • Build and present robust business cases to senior management
  • Coordinate cross-departmental design and development with key delivery teams
  • Manage product governance and approval processes
  • Support the delivery of any promotional and pricing strategies
  • Maintain terms and conditions for existing products

The Skills

What we’d like you to have:

  • Strong problem-solving skills – familiar with Design Thinking principles
  • Ability to gather requirements from meetings, technical specifications and process diagrams
  • Facilitation skills – comfortable leading workshops with a diverse mix of stakeholders
  • A commercial mindset with an aptitude for understanding complex commercial concepts
  • Familiar with reviewing contractual terms and conditions
  • Highly organised with experience at leading and coordinating business change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An education to degree standard or demonstrable ability at the same level in a working environment
