Facilities Manager

EDF Renewables UK is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy companies, specialising in wind power, solar and battery storage technology. We develop, build, operate and maintain wind farms and other renewable technologies throughout their lifetime. 

As Facilities Manager it is your job to own, plan, procure, monitor, control and deliver the facilities management services for both routine and reactive maintenance services. You will manage these services across operational portfolio including managing refurbishments, renovations and office moves. 

The role provides a focal point to ensure that the general upkeep and maintenance of the sites meet EDF Renewables health and safety standards and comply with the most current legislation. This is to ensure all site deliverables provide value for money, are delivered safely, within budget at the right quality and on time.

What’s my role and where will I fit in?

•    Develop annual plans for all statutory inspection/compliance requirements (excluding turbines) including but not limited to electrical Portable Appliance Testing, fire extinguishers, fire alarms, etc
•    Develop and maintain an up to date contemporary condition register for all EDF Renewables operational assets
•    Conduct regular site inspections to agree on work scopes and perform quality assurance checks on completed works as required
•    Develop, manage and coordinate the efficient procurement and delivery of planned facility management maintenance programmes in conjunction with the Maintenance and Commercial teams
•    Control, manage and coordinate the efficient procurement and delivery of emergent reactive works
•    Support the prioritising of site works, especially during high volume work periods
•    Control the procurement and delivery of effective winter maintenance services to optimise safe access to assets for service providers
•    Maintain an accurate register of planned works, progress of same together with weekly and monthly reporting of progress of physical works, commercial matters and emergent works raised in the period

What do I need to be good in this role?

To be successful in this role you must have the ability to lead a service within a broader organisation with the capability of meeting changing needs.

This will be a collaborative role so you should have excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will be degree qualified in a construction related subject. A member of the British Institute of Facilities Management would be preferable but not essential. A safety qualification such as IOSH/NEBOSH would also be desirable.
