Lifting Lead

Location: Suffolk with monthly travel to London.
 
Employment type: Permanent full-time / part time. 
 
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.
 
Salary: £85,000 - £95,000, plus bonus and other benefits.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C, the Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050. 
 
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lifting Lead to join our Site Delivery team at Sizewell C. You'll lead and manage teams of industrial trades responsible for carrying out a wide range of skilled lifting activities on scale across the nuclear development project. 

 

 

 

The Role

 

 

 

Day-to-day you’ll take charge of coordinating crane operations and overseeing the planning of heavy lifts across the Sizewell C site. You’ll work closely with diverse lifting teams, ensuring that all lifting activities are executed safely, efficiently and in line with project timelines.

 

You will work a flexible schedule, including some weekend shifts by exception. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Sizewell C, in Suffolk.

 

 

 

The Skills

 

 

 

Previous senior lifting experience and expertise preferably working as a Lifting Lead or Senior Lifting AP within a large scale project or business within a lifting / slinging operations environment.

 

Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and diverse workforce.

 

Crane Appointed Person – CPCS Qualifications as standard.

 

Safety, Health, Environment, Quality awareness.

 

Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft package.
