Design Integrity Engineer
We currently have a vacancy for a Modifications/Safety Case Engineer at Hinkley Point B Power Station. You will be working within the Reliability and Lifetime Engineering Group within the Engineering Department. The group's main responsibility is to produce a safety case justification, prior to plant modifications, to maintain the system’s design integrity.
Over the last 46 years, Hinkley Point B has generated 311 TWh of low carbon and is now entering a new phase in its life - defueling and decommissioning. This involves the safe removal of all spent fuel from the reactor core, the cooling ponds and stores whilst looking ahead and preparing for deconstruction. During this stage, the station will see transformative change and are keen to recruit a talented individual looking for their next challenge to their existing core of expertise.
At a time of Nuclear Resurgence, Hinkley Point B offers a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within an operational defueling environment whilst also looking ahead to future potential opportunities in decommissioning and deconstruction.
As a station, Hinkley Point B is immensely proud of its history and is looking forward to new challenges as it starts a new phase of its life. This is a great opportunity to come and join an incredible team to help you start or continue your career as a Nuclear Professional.
