HR Business Partner Consultant

The Opportunity


We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team at Heysham 2 on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will work in unison with a small close knit team and have the opportunity to work in collaboration with designated Line Managers, providing advice, direction, commercial HR solutions and operational support all with the vision of improving Station performance.

The Role


This is a highly rewarding, multi-faceted role that will open up opportunities for you to fully immerse yourself in Heysham 2’s HR needs, including working with the HR Manager to identify and deliver Resourcing and Workforce interventions within your Business area. You will be responsible for supporting the local implementation of the ER framework, procedures and management of local ER ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained.


You will have further opportunities to work with the HR Manager and identify Talent within your Business area and successfully implement Talent succession plans, as well as supporting with organisation design, local restructures and cultural changes ensuring compliance and regulatory reporting requirements are kept up to date and accurate.


As the HR Business Partner Consultant you will also have the ability to input into Heysham 2’s Strategy, supporting People plans at local level, actively seeking out best practice for your Business area. You will also work closely with your Line Manager’s ensuring they follow the HR processes and procedures outlined and have regular contact and support.

The Skills


As the successful HR Business Partner Consultant, you will have either achieved your CIPD qualifications or have the same level of relevant practical experience within a fast-paced and unionised HR environment with the proven ability to deliver high quality HR support.


You will be an excellent rapport builder, whilst taking a pragmatic approach and when necessary have the skills required to easily influence key stakeholders to align with the best possible outcome for the Station. A keen interest in data and analytics is also desirable as there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved with change initiatives, which are driven by data.
