A career that will deliver change. Together, we can help Britain achieve net zero.

As a graduate, you’ll be looking to make an impact – using your skills, knowledge and passion to achieve great things. So how about taking on the challenge of beating climate change?

Being Britain’s biggest generator of low carbon electricity, EDF are not only talking about climate change, we’re doing something about it. We’re committed to reducing carbon emissions to zero, generating power from clean sources like wind, nuclear and solar, leading the charge for electric vehicles and investing in new carbon cutting technologies.

We proudly work together to champion a low carbon lifestyle and collaborate widely in our search for innovations to achieve more.  Build your future with us. Share our vision. Together we’ll help Britain achieve net zero.

Opportunity

A wide range of suppliers provide works, goods and services to support the efficient running of our businesses in the UK. How do we maximise the value for EDF through the professional supply of third party goods and services? That’s the job of our Supply Chain teams.

During this two-year graduate scheme, you’ll complete attachments in the different areas of Supply Chain for EDF in the UK. The scheme has been designed to expose you to working with key stakeholders and the Supply Chain team to assist the business to develop and manage a suite of contracts to support the ambitions of EDF.

Ours is an industry that is changing quickly and taking on more and more importance. Climate change, security of supply, the need for new infrastructure – all of these will affect the energy industry in the years to come. As the largest generator of zero carbon electricity in the UK, EDF Energy is perfectly placed to tackle such issues.

The Training Programme:

Supporting the operation of EDF’s businesses in the UK poses many unique and commercial challenges to our Supply Chain teams. Managing a large spend in over 50 market areas, the EDF Supply Chain team is at the core of ensuring the correct goods and services are ordered, are delivered safely, are of high quality, arrive on site at the optimum time at the best price possible.

For an idea of the type of work you could do, recent graduates have helped source and procure over half a million pounds worth of goods for the Renewables business, tendered, negotiated and placed a company-wide Meetings & Events contract, and organised the Supply Chain team’s Winter and Summer events. You’ll also get the opportunity to travel to suppliers’ offices and our stations in order to support our key stakeholders and internal customers.

You won’t be on your own during this journey as you’ll have the support of your line manager, a recent graduate buddy and a career manager throughout the scheme. Our Young Professionals (“YP”) Network will also welcome you to their network where they provide an effective platform to learn, lead and connect.  It’s a good opportunity for you to knowledge share with fellow graduates and trainees from our other Early Careers schemes.  The YP Network aims to foster future leaders of EDF Energy.

At the end of the programme the experience you have gained will provide the springboard for a future career in Supply Chain with EDF.
