The Opportunity…

EDF Wholesale Market Services (WMS) is a leading provider of energy optimisation and trading services, and one of Britain’s biggest providers of energy flexibility services. We work closely with other EDF Customers business units to provide route-to-market and hedging services, as well as with other EDF Group companies and other energy generation and grid flexibility customers, providing bespoke solutions.

More specifically, the role is part of the Strategy & Planning team within the Strategy, Performance and Insight department of WMS. The team plays a key role in ensuring the success of WMS and supporting our core functions.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the team, the role is a highly skilled analytical position where you would be expected to:

• Utilise data effectively and conduct robust data analysis to support and drive key business decision making across all areas of WMS to make it better for the future
• Be responsible for and lead workstreams that cover a number of factors such as P&L management, value creation, risk mitigation and strategic initiatives all of which help boost the WMS Business
• Manage, influence and present findings to various stakeholders within and external to EBS, including senior stakeholders
• Lead on the influence of regulatory and market changes
• Management of initiatives and forums, focused on stakeholder co-ordination with other EDF business units

Overall, this role provides a great opportunity for an analyst who wishes to have a big impact and contribute to key business decisions for the future of WMS. It also provides a great platform to gain a wide breadth of understanding of the WMS business and wider business units.

Who you are

• Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to provide key high value business recommendations
• Strong data analytical skills are essential with the ability to manipulate and analyse various data sets to form rational insights and conclusions
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of people including senior stakeholders
• Good communication and presentation skills to present recommendations to senior stakeholders

Alongside a starting salary of £54,400 dependent on experience, potential to earn 10% bonus, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays and a market-leading pension scheme, we offer a range of flexible benefits to support our people across all aspects of their lives.
