The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting projects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. The SZC Project is a ~£20bn nuclear new build project in Suffolk which is currently seeking planning approval and financing from HMG and investors, with a view to start construction in 2023. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.


We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Risk Analyst to join our Cost and Risk Estimate team, which is responsible for developing a cost estimate for the construction of SZC, critical to supporting the case being made for the project to the government and investors.  


Our teams are set up to work flexibly. If you’re able to travel to the office to collaborate with your team and stakeholders when required, you can be based anywhere in the UK. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively. 
 

The Role

 

You’ll develop and improve the SZC project risk processes, particularly quantification and scenario analysis. 


This’ll be achieved through producing risk analysis, creating and give presentations, supporting the risk engagement with the government and collaborating with other Project Teams on cross cutting assignments. 


You’ll also use feedback from stakeholders and other projects to drive continuous improvement, support the verification of the SZC risk estimate and working on key issues across the project related to risk. 
 

The Skills

 

You’ll have proven numerical and financial modelling skills, with experience in handling large data sets. 


Knowledge of risk analysis methods and tools would be highly beneficial. 


A degree in a relevant subject would be ideal but isn’t essential.
