The Opportunity….

Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support with construction to start this year.

Join the Sizewell C Conventional Island sub-programme as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager and lead the charge in delivering excellence in the Steam Turbine and Power Transmission areas. These dynamic roles offer you the opportunity to oversee delivery teams and ensure seamless execution from engineering through to commissioning.

What you’ll be doing…

In this role, you’ll spearhead a team of Project Managers and/or a Multidisciplined Delivery Team, driving the delivery of complex systems, structures, and components. Your focus will be on meticulous planning, budget adherence, risk management, and quality control, while navigating various project interfaces with precision.

Who you are…

We’re looking for hands-on Project Professionals with a solid track record in strategic management and major project delivery, particularly within conventional island power plant scopes.

Your technical acumen will enable you to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences within large-scale projects.

Demonstrated success in engineering design, contract execution, cost control, and risk management is essential, along with proficiency in Earned Value tools and handling commercial claims.

You’ll have strong expertise across the project lifecycle, from engineering to commissioning, and a keen commercial sense for negotiating and managing large-scale contracts.

Your leadership will shine in stakeholder engagement and team management, backed by exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

A degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is essential, and while professional qualifications like MIMechE, MICE, MCIOB, or APM PPQ are desirable, they are not mandatory.

Knowledge of CDM Regulations, nuclear quality standards, and quality assurance approaches will be beneficial.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! A full job description is available upon application.
