Working hours: Full time, flexible working hours
Location: Whilst your base office will be in London, we’ll support you to work flexibly from home (providing a suite of IT equipment), whilst coming together on site to offer face to face support and collaboration when required

Salary: Circa £61,000 (depending on experience) + excellent benefits

Join EDF as a Senior Originator and you will create value and maximise return whilst maintaining a strong market presence by engaging with key players in the GB renewables market. 

The Wholesale Market Services (WMS) Commercial team is a high performing team that is now the largest Route to Market provider in the UK and is pushing the boundaries in terms of new innovations. The team focuses on maximising revenue for batteries, renewables, peaking plant and any asset that can access the trading market in the UK. 

Working within a fast paced, continuously evolving environment we are looking for a talented, commercially driven Senior Originator to join the WMS Commercial Team. Our ambition is to deliver great customer experiences and maximise long term value creation at acceptable risk levels. 

The opportunity…

As the Senior Originator, you will support the WMS Origination Senior Manager with the end-to-end origination process and will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and concluding complex contractual structures and innovative technological and commercial arrangements to deliver financial targets across flexibility markets.

Working alongside internal and external stakeholders, you’ll collaboratively manage and secure approval for innovative structures which go beyond the existing company risk mandates and approved trading instruments. 

You will manage customer relationships, ensuring the customer is satisfied whilst the assets are in operation and provide a top-quality service to enable you to develop a long-term partnership. 

What we’re looking for…

With a commercial background, you will have experience delivering results against ambitious targets through the building and maintenance of effective relationships, exceptional commercial acumen, and the ability to spot opportunities for growth and identify new business prospects through the building and maintenance of effective relationships.   

You must be a confident negotiator and competent structurer who is demonstrably numerate, can identify risks and devise appropriate agreements collaboratively with our legal team.
