The Opportunity

Join us as a Senior Commercial and Product Analyst in EDF’s Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sales and marketing team, to help make I&C a successful and profitable business.

You’ll lead commercial initiatives to increase value and mitigate risk and develop new and existing products for I&C customers. 

The team you will join manages the existing product suite and develops new products to meet the changing needs of EDF’s I&C customers.  In addition, the team is responsible for analysis to identify and qualify opportunities to grow value in the short to medium term. The team is also required to understand and monitor the key risks faced by EDF’s I&C business, and drive the work required to balance this risk.  

The role is full-time, but we’re flexible on your base location and you have the freedom to work from home as often as you like.

The Role


•    Conduct product research by talking to customers and internal stakeholders to better understand customer problems and prioritise product improvements
•    Design and develop new products to meet customer requirements
•    Present product proposals to senior management 
•    Maintain terms and conditions for existing products


•    Identify, analyse, recommend and implement opportunities to add value to the I&C portfolio, both in respect of the parts of the market we target, and the optimisation of current contracts.
•    Understand, map and monitor aspects of the risk of the I&C portfolio, recommending and then delivering appropriate actions to balance this risk.
•    Lead work streams/projects providing analysis of potential alternate business models and portfolio strategies to inform the appropriate direction for I&C going forward.


•    Provide coaching to junior analysts within the team.

The Person

What we’d like you to have:

•    A commercial and strategic mindset, with strong numerical/analytical skills and ability.
•    Highly organised with experience at leading and coordinating projects and business change
•    Knowledge of issues which drive performance of large businesses, particularly in relation to corporate and social responsibility, sustainability and low carbon energy.
•    Strong influencing and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of people including senior stakeholders.
•    Strong problem solving skills
•    Ability to develop rational insights based on qualitative and quantitative inputs is essential.
•    Willingness to challenge the way things are done, and the ability to identify critical business issues and make recommendations for improvements, implementing where relevant.
•    Ideally, knowledge of business energy Supply and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) markets.
