Segment Lead Analyst
Segment Lead Analyst
Are you passionate about helping Britain achieve Net Zero? If so, come and join our EDF Business Solutions team at EDF as a Segment Lead Analyst!
The Opportunity
As Segment Lead Analyst, you’ll be a crucial analytical support to the Head of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), helping to make decisions in running EDF’s PPA business.
EDF is the largest buyer of renewable power from independent generators through PPAs in Great Britain, and we aim to grow our standing in the renewable industry even further.
You’ll focus on maximizing the margins we earn from signing PPAs, and ensuring they translate into excellent outturn financial performance by understanding and managing key risks and opportunities. In this role, you can make a real contribution to EDF’s PPA business and ultimately helping Britain achieve Net Zero, supporting existing renewable assets and supporting new renewable projects to be built.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help the Head of PPA to set the right strategy to help the PPA business achieve its growth ambitions, and work on its implementation. This will involve understanding the opportunities and risks associated with our PPA portfolio – carrying out impactful analysis to help us make the right decisions, and helping to manage the overall PPA portfolio size, shape, and segmentation.
You’ll put in place effective pipeline management processes to track and manage prospects and renewals, and you will create and present insightful management / performance reports to track and monitor PPA business performance.
You’ll lead on various change-related topics for the PPA team. This could mean running small projects, managing PPA product development needs, leading on updating our proposition in response to market opportunities, feedback and risks. You’ll also set out requirements for digital and process change, to derive maximum value from current and future systems and tools; identifying areas for continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with all other members of EDF’s PPA team, in particular the originators and origination senior managers. You’ll manage customer and competitor insight through an impactful tender feedback loop, turning market insights into meaningful actions. This will involve capturing and cataloguing feedback on competitiveness, product offerings and supplier activity to help the PPA team adapt its go-to-market strategy.
Pay, benefits and culture
Alongside a salary starting around £50,000, dependent on experience, we also have a market-leading pension scheme and offer a range of flexible benefits to support our people across all aspects of their lives.
Your rewards package includes a choice of benefits, such as electric vehicle leasing, enhanced parental leave, health insurance, discounts, and employee pricing.
Flexible working means you can work from home (if you wish), and we’ll provide a suite of IT equipment to ensure that you can work remotely comfortably and effectively. You may also occasionally need to travel to one of our offices when required.
Corina Gardiner, PPA Management and Service Analyst, says: “I’m proud to work for EDF’s PPA team because through the work we do, we’re supporting renewable generation and making a real difference to net zero”.
