The opportunity…

Are you fresh out of University with a degree or background in Economics, Science or Engineering?

We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Renewables Team at the EDF Research & Development UK Centre which involves playing a key role in participating in the renewable’s investment modelling research activities. 

The Renewables Team is a highly skilled international multidisciplinary team which focuses on reducing costs and risks associated with renewables project investments made by EDF Group across the world by developing innovative high value solutions with a strong focus on offshore wind.

Your role will involve supporting the development of EDF’s R&D offshore wind cost and financial modelling tools as well as performing market research and analysis of the global offshore wind market. 

A number of your stakeholders will be French so if you can speak a little French this would be a bonus, however it’s not the be all and end all!

What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for someone with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Matlab and Python, together with knowledge in probability and statistical techniques as well as experience in data analysis.

You’ll have enthusiasm for developing scientific or applied financial or economic modelling in an industrial or research context and be able to manage delivery of activities in a multicultural global context.
