The Opportunity

 

Our exciting Sizewell C (SZC) project – a proposed new nuclear power station to be built on the Suffolk coast - would provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years which, along with renewables, will support Britain’s Net Zero aim by 2050. 


We’re currently looking for an individual to be the focal point for organisational learning within the SZC project, by managing the insight database and positively driving a learning and developing culture across the organisation. 
 

 

The Role

 

As the Organisational Learning Lead, you’ll champion organisational learning and improvement across the SZC project and supply chain, in order to promote the required organisational culture.


Specifically, you’ll be accountable for: 

 

 

  • Implementing and managing policies, procedures and arrangements for managing the identification and acquisition of learning
  • Operating the ‘insight’ learning tool
  • Facilitating improvements to the organisational learning process, liaising with company-wide representatives to develop best practice approaches and maintain compliance with legislation, policies and procedures
  • Providing improvement input into management systems requirements associated with organisational learning
  • Interfacing with the Assurance team to receive learning opportunity inputs as a result of formal audits and assessments
  • Identifying learning opportunities outside the project and establish and maintain arrangements to acquire that learning
  • Reviewing and developing project processes for learning, improvement and non-conformance in line with international standards, company requirements and best practice
  • Ensuring that acquired learning is frequently reviewed and allocated appropriately within the project for implementation
  • Undertaking regular review of the learning and improvement data, providing reports, analysis and recommendations
  • Arranging and participating in meetings with the regulators relating to organisational learning
     

 

The Skills

 

To be successful in this role you’ll be able to demonstrate: 

 

 

  • Experience in organisational learning and continual improvement processes
  • Ability to positively promote organisational learning and improvement across a large, complex major project organisation
  • Experience in communicating with regulatory agencies 
  • Confident and articulate communication skills 
  • Ability to Analyse data, preparing reports and making recommendations
  • Experience of working proactively with supply chain organisations
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent in English language, preferably with some French language skills
  • Pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative and able to work within an ISO 9001 compliant business
