Governance Assurance Lead (Sizewell C)

The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050. 
 
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Governance & Assurance Lead within the Sizewell C project. 

 

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.   
 
 


The Role 

 

 

You’ll lead the Digital & IT Governance & Assurance in delivering and improving ongoing Assurance and Governance processes within the portfolio. 

You’ll ensure the review and submission of weekly status portfolio reporting and risks and issues log.

 

You’ll ensure strict adherence to Change Control processes whenever a deviation is required from a baselined deliverable, including scope, requirements, costs and timescales.


You’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing the governance and assurance framework with the Sizewell C project. 

 

You’ll work closely with other Governance activities to ensure strict adherence to the Governance calendar and deadlines across the Portfolio.

 


The Skills 

 

 

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for governance and compliance? 


Are you experienced in developing and implementing governance frameworks within organisations? 


You’ll have solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret multiple sources of complex data to draw conclusions and derive recommendation. 


You’ll have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and able to demonstrate a successful record of accomplishment in influencing and negotiating.


You’ll clearly present and explain complex information in both verbal and written form. 


Excellent management skills, with clear knowledge of project and programme delivery methodologies.
