Join our Corporate Finance team and sit at the heart of all key decisions impacting project costs to help ensure value for money is always being considered. You’ll work alongside EDF Retail Business to drive cost management and optimisation across IT and Software projects.

The Opportunity

 

Step into the fast-paced, innovative world of Project Finance Support at EDF, where you’ll be working with a robust cost base of £100m. You’ll engage in a range of tasks such as carrying out reviews, supporting project accruals and cost allocations across various IT spend areas.

 

You’ll lead the end-to-end IT cost reporting, presenting insights through streamlined tools like Anaplan becoming crucial to project prioritisation and forecasting ensuring alignment with Budget and Latest estimate timelines.

 

Join us in supporting key projects, including the implementation of enhanced IT systems to elevate interface and functionality across Business, Residential and Trading business streams.

What you’ll be doing

 

Collaborate closely with operational business partners to craft monthly forecasts, ensuring timely identification and escalation of risks. You’ll operate within the Budget and Forecast guidelines, forging resilient plans in collaboration with business. Take an active role in implementing and refining the Anaplan rolling forecast to ensures its ongoing effectiveness. You’ll provide crucial support for Capex forecasts from projects, aligning seamlessly with SaaS and Group accounting policies.

 

Deliver impactful monthly reports to the FD & CI, encompassing comprehensive IT insights. Drive Capex reporting and prepare executive summary packs for key stakeholders like NorthStar, BCIT and Lander. Support the reporting with P&L queries relating to Customers IT. Become the go-to person during MTP, addressing and resolving all IT-related queries swiftly.

 

Engage with key stakeholders to update, support and challenge financial performance. You’ll identify potential issues, implement counteractions and support overall cost bridge inputs driving process improvements, including outsourcing, automation and the management of quarterly Capex treatment journals. You’ll also assist with Kraken related accruals and journals.

 

Who you are

We’re looking for an individual with great commercial acumen, experience of Project Finance, ideally within the Electricity Industry. You’ll have demonstrable experience of operating in Finance functions of large, corporate organisations.

 

Bring your expertise to the forefront with a unique blend of skills that include data analytics, proficiency in finance systems, and advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint. Your arsenal also features strong organisational and prioritisation skills, complemented by a logical approach and robust analytical abilities.
