Construction Project Manager

EDF Renewables. Building a sustainable future through wind power and other renewable technologies, in partnership with local communities.

Location: Remote/Home Worker/ London/Edinburgh/Sunderland

Are you looking for a career where you can really make a difference? Come and join us as a Construction Project Manager as part of our Central Technical Organisation within EDF Renewables.

EDF Renewables have set up a Programme Team to work on large scale Solar PV projects that will require a Development Consent Order (DCO) due to their NSIP status. The programme team requires a Construction Project Manager to support the preparation of the DCOs for a pipeline of large solar and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects.

As Construction Project Manager you will be part of the CTO (Central Technical Organisation) and will ensure that the DCO projects are developed, designed and built in accordance with the requirements and guidance of the CTO and the wider business with a particular emphasis on the design, construction methods, logistical plans and sequencing.

You will work closely with Engineering managers in the DCO programme who will oversee the technical elements of the design.
Initially the role involves supporting the business development and planning team during the development, feasibility and consenting stage of our DCO PV solar projects. The role will also involve input into the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) process and the interface with Engineering team.

Following DCO approval and investment approval of a project, the role will become a lead role in the delivery of construction projects within budget, to the agreed programme timescales, meeting quality targets and in line with EDF Renewables Zero Harm ambitions.

This lead role will involve preparation of all work scopes, tendering, negotiation and subsequent project management and successful delivery of all related construction contracts through to successful handover of the facility to the Asset Operations Team.
