The Opportunity

Each business unit within EDF has a local finance team and this Consolidation and Performance Manager role within Corporate Finance provides oversight for local activities to allow for efficient consolidation – providing guidance and driving consistency and simplification, ensuring you’re appropriately aligned with IFRS and consistent within EDF and EDF Group’s accounting policies.

You’ll be responsible for the consolidated financial planning and reporting management accounts of EDF. You will plan, direct and oversee all reporting and planning activities of the consolidation and performance team as well as lead on integration and synergies with the technical accounting and business unit teams.

You’ll be empowered to make decisions and will be accountable for the accurate completion of the consolidated position of EDF, including Annual Medium Plan, Annual Budget, Regular forecasts to the year end and Cash projections. This will involve providing an explanation of the outcomes and management presentation to the Head of Accounting and Consolidation, the Financial Control Director and Chief Financial Officer therefore you’ll be recognised as a point of reference, a company expert in providing financial planning and reporting advisory to key stakeholders.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, therefore you do not need to be in the office every day, as long as you’re able to travel to the office 2/3 days a week to collaborate with your team and stakeholders. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role and Skills

You’ll have a flexible approach in order to meet the challenging commitments of the company and will have significant experience in consolidation and financial reporting together with a broad range of financial and management accounting skills.

You’ll be capable of identifying opportunities for change and enhancement, challenging existing finance processes where improvement is required and will be confident presenting to the senior finance leadership team and will therefore be experienced in presenting Board level analyses.

The ability to manage, motivate and inspire is essential as you’ll be developing individuals within your team beyond their existing capabilities and will help maintain a positive working environment and collaborative team work.

If this all sounds like you and you’re a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA or equivalent experience) with extensive experience of consolidation and financial reporting with up to date knowledge of IFRS then we’d love to hear from you!
