Workforce Mobilisation Specialist (Sizewell C)

Salary: Starting from £42,000.


Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full-time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible/part-time approach where possible.

The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting projects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. The SZC Project is a ~£20bn nuclear new build project in Suffolk which is currently seeking planning approval and financing from HMG and investors, with a view to start construction in 2023. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years supporting our objective to help Britain achieve Net Zero by 2050.


As a Workforce Mobilisation Interface Specialist, you’ll coordinate the ongoing development and management of the interfaces required to support the Sizewell C (SZC) Employment Affairs Unit (EAU). You’ll support the development of the primary SZC Project Introduction and On-boarding system, SZC WIMS (Workforce Information Management System) and will act as the interface on behalf of the SZC EAU for any integration with associated internal and 3rd party systems.  


Our teams are set up to work flexibly, therefore you don’t have to live in Suffolk. If you’re able to travel to the Suffolk office to collaborate with your team and stakeholders when required, you can be based anywhere in the UK. You will be expected to visit our office in London on an ad hoc basis. Visits to the HPC Project may also be required in the first three month’s for training. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
 

The Role

 

In role, you’ll provide subject matter expert to the users and suppliers of SZC WIMS and associated on-boarding systems that will include system configuration, user management, end user support, auditing and reporting.


We’re looking for someone to manage the change request process for SZC WIMS, SZC EAU systems and budgets, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign off.


With the support of your team, you’ll monitor and continuously evaluate the effectiveness and integrity of SZC WIMS and associated systems using appropriate audit and assurance techniques.


The role will allow you to design, deliver & maintain all information management training & associated documentation, providing practical and technical mentoring and support to end-users.  


You’ll be able to manage and facilitate the WIMS User Group, including priorities, issue log, monthly agenda, identified actions and their resolution.
 

The Skills

 

You’re likely to have strong stakeholder management skills in terms of having experience in managing user groups and the ability to develop strong relationships. 


You’ll bring your proven ability of working with 3rd party IT support functions and suppliers to resolve system issues. 


We’d love for you to have experience of workforce mobilisation on a significant project and/or experience of using and working with the ‘Salesforce’ system/platform.


You may have experience of setting user requirements and conducting, and approving User Acceptance Testing on IT systems. 


It would be great if are able to demonstrate having worked successfully in multi discipline teams and/or experience of having worked flexibly within a dynamic environment.


Good working ability to design and develop processes and procedures would be highly desirable.
