Contract: Permanent, full-time.
Salary: £70,000- £77,000 depending on experience.

The Role
As a Security Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for leading on security compliance, authoring and reviewing policies, procedures and processes relevant to personnel security and security access, and ensuring that SZC complies with our relevant site security plans.You‘ll lead on all elements of personnel security across the SZC construction site and deliver a personnel security regime that ensures compliance with the associated plans, policies and procedures whilst enabling the construction of SZC. In this role you’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing the security related regulatory and legal compliance of all aspects of SZC Construction Site and Off-Site Infrastructure locations and providing governance over the entire operation.
This will form the lower (internal) tier of the site security assurance methodology and link to the SZC Safety, Security & Assurance Level 2 assurance model whilst leading and coordinating all other internal and external assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Author and review policies, procedures and processes relevant to personnel security and security access
• Plan, initiate and facilitate all regulatory interventions and visits, maintaining close liaison with the SZC Regulatory Interface Office (RIO).
• Responsible for managing all regulatory interventions and incident reporting.
• Coordination of security aspects of all project hold points and transitions and audits with main stakeholders including ONR, Independent Nuclear Assurance (INA) and SS&A.
• Organise and host the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) Interventions.
• Generation of management information to measure and report on all security compliance related activities.
• Act as the intelligent customer in relation to the provision of vetting services through the security contract partner.
• Ensure that any changes to process and procedure are reviewed and approved in accordance with legislation and regulation, liaising directly with EDF Nuclear Services Company (NSCo).
• Manage the relationship between SZC, SS&A and NSCo for personnel security related matters.
• Lead and deliver Personnel Security related Project Security Culture Programme, liaising with SZC training team and contract organisations security responsible persons.
• Interface with Site Licensing officer and with SS&A and Nuclear Services Company on all personnel security related matters.
• Chair the Personnel and People Security Community of Practice
• Author and lead on a collaboratively delivered Personnel Security Risk Assessment (PSRA).
• Help and assist the site vetting unit where appropriate with mentoring new contractor on-boarding (in consultation with SZC Employment Affairs Unit).
• Lead on security enquiries process, liaising with key stakeholders and line manage the SZC Community Safety Manager.
• Ensure security events are reported to key stakeholders offsite and to onsite leaders when required.

What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Proven leadership and management skills at a high level, particularly within the security sector
• Degree in relevant subject or appropriate equivalent qualification or experience
• Experience working within the nuclear or other regulated industry
• Personnel security experience
• Experience in communication with regulators
• Knowledge of assurance systems and methodologies
• Knowledge of pre-employment checks and national vetting standards
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies, specifically the Office for Nuclear Regulations and Civil Nuclear Security.
• Previous construction large infrastructure project experience.
• National Security Vetting - Security Check (SC) to be gained in job role.
