At Sizewell C, we’re looking for an experienced EHV Project Manager to manage the delivery of the 132kV Construction Electricity Supply (CES) system and help deliver a project that’s critical to Britain’s clean energy future.

Backed by EDF and the UK Government, the project encompasses the design, construction, and operation of a state-of-the-art nuclear power plant in Suffolk. The Role

 

 

As an EHV Project Manager, you’ll oversee the contractor’s construction of the 132kV CES system, including a 132kV Substation and 132kV Cable Route from the National Grid point of connection. You’ll bring your expertise to manage the full lifecycle of this complex and critical workstream, ensuring quality, compliance, and seamless integration.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the project using NEC ECC Contract Options A & C, ensuring commercial astuteness and accurate budget forecasting.
  • Oversee the detailed design phase for the 132kV substation and cable route, coordinating all stakeholders.
  • Act as the key liaison with National Grid, UKPN, statutory undertakers, and local authorities, ensuring approvals and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Facilitate detailed design coordination meetings and workshops to address scheme interfaces.
  • Deliver the project lifecycle, including: schedule, risk, quality, cost and change management.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for added value throughout the project.
  • Coordinate scope with the Off-Site Utilities Team and manage reporting cycles effectively.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

 

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Proven project management experience (5+ years) with a relevant qualification (APM preferred).
  • Demonstrable expertise in 132kV substation builds and cable route installations.
  • Knowledge of DNO G81 Standards and CDM 2015.
  • Experience working with National Grid and UKPN.
  • Proficiency in P6 Programme Management and contemporary IT tools, including Office 365.
  • Familiarity with NEC ECC Contract Options A & C.
  • Experience with highway excavations (NRSWA).
  • IOSH certification.
  • Electrician Qualifications

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or utility projects with DCO constraints.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI, PowerApps, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of CEMAR software.
  • Valid driving license and CSCS card.
