We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Enterprise IT function as a Senior RPA Developer on a 12 month fixed term contract. You’ll be joining a high performing team providing solutions and services for multiple business unites across EDF UK.
The Opportunity…
This role sits in the AI & Automation Centre of Excellence within our Enterprise IT function. Our tool stack includes SS&C Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, Celonis, Microsoft Azure, Airflow, AWS Bedrock, Tableau, TrustPortal, Python, Prodigy & much more.
We are an end to end delivery team committed to high quality implementations that we run and maintain. We love to add value and innovate with new solutions and stay up to date with the latest developments in our industry as well as the wider tech landscape.
You’ll report to the RPA Solution Design Manager where you will work closely with Senior RPA Developers as well as the other members of the wider leadership team including RPA Operations Manager, Governance & Delivery Manager, AI Manager, AI Product Owner and Lead Data Scientist. You will line manage a maximum of 2 RPA Developers but be expected to provide expertise, guidance and support across the wider team.

What you’ll be doing
- Process Assessment: Collaborate with business analysts to assess existing processes and identify areas suitable for automation conducting feasibility reviews and suggesting the best implementation approach. You will identify and understand the application requirements, challenges and access levels for quicker delivery. Document and communicate the risks and issues which could potentially impact the delivery. You’ll develop automation processes that utilise set standards to ensure highest quality.
- Design and Development: You will design, develop, and implement RPA solutions to automate business processes using Blue Prism or Microsoft Power Automate utilising set standards to ensure the highest quality. The challenging nature of our business means that there is an ever-evolving landscape which includes changing applications and business needs. You will be expected to develop robust automation solutions to manage the target application changes and decide the best implementation approach to manage business requirement changes.
- Testing and Documentation: Conduct thorough testing of automation scripts and maintain detailed documentation for future reference
- Technical Support and Maintenance: You will work alongside the RPA Operations team to provide technical support for maintaining RPA applications and ensuring the smooth operation of automated workflows.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and enhance existing automation processes to optimise efficiency and adapt to evolving business needs. Continuous assistance to RPA Developers on development technical guidance and best practices to be followed. You will be encouraged and expected to make suggestions to how we can improve the way we do things across all aspects of our operation.
Who you are
- To be successful in this role you’ll need good communication skills, be a logical thinker, love problem solving, be a self-motivator and enjoy working within a team.
- You’ll have proven experience of a minimum 5 years developing high quality RPA process in Blue Prism and Power Automate. Programming experience with VB .NET, SQL, VBA, C#, Python is a plus.
- Process Mining experience using Celonis would be an advantage to this role as this is a technology we are accelerating the use of.
