EDF Energy has an exciting new role within the Acquisition Marketing Team at our Portland Road site in Hove.

As a team we are responsible for the digital acquisition sales strategy for Residential and SME energy tariffs, as well as supporting several beyond supply propositions including electric vehicles and alternative heating solutions.


The Technical SEO executive is responsible for supporting in the delivery of the SEO strategy for 2021. Reporting into the Senior SEO executive, you will be working closely with the wider marketing team, including paid search and content teams to implement optimisations and strategies to drive high intent traffic to site.

The Person


On a day-to-day basis you will:


•    Work with the Senior SEO executive to develop tactics targeted towards improving overall site performance, supporting in the delivery of the SEO strategy for 2021.
•    Audit and perform qualitative technical analysis of the site, forming data driven recommendations for improvements and optimisations.
•    Take ownership of recommendations, implementing them within CMS where possible or communicating effectively with the development team to get them implemented.
•    Perform keyword research and mapping, forming content recommendations based on insight.
•    Work with the paid search marketing team on continuous test and learn activity, driving sales performance for both paid and SEO channels.
•    Use insight and reporting to make optimisation recommendations, working closely with Content Design, UX, CRO and Digital Operations
•    Deliver reporting on progress, overall site health and performance to key stakeholder and business areas, to monitor performance against KPIs and maintain focus on SEO business objectives.
•    Ensure understanding and awareness of the team’s KPIs and Objectives, ensuring all work that is undertaken delivers against these.

The Skills




•    At least 1-2 years’ experience in a technical SEO role
•    Experience in driving growth in SEO, implementing onsite and off-site best practices
•    Competent in producing technical audits and discussing recommendations with developers
•    Experienced in using SEM Rush (or similar), DeepCrawl, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Microsoft Office
•    Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
•    Excellent stakeholder management and strong communications skills
•    Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points
•    High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
•    Excellent analytical, organisational and time management skills

Highly Desirable


•    Understanding of the energy industry and retail markets
