Join EDF as a Reporting Analyst and you’ll play a crucial technical role in the scope, design, production and delivery of people data & insight to stakeholders across all business units which influences strategy and drives business activities as well as developing our systems to ensure that the business has simple self-serve access to relevant, accurate and insightful people data.
 

The Employees Services People Analytics Team forms a key part at the centre of the HR function.  PA is responsible for the provision of all aspects of employee data, covering both employees and contractors, through a variety of methods – reporting, dashboarding, self service access and bespoke analysis, alongside maintaining the quality and integrity of data within our HR systems. Our overarching aim is to ensure that we support HR & the business in being able to fully understand our people.

The overall purpose of this role is to successfully create and build reporting solutions and deliver value adding analytic insight in a timely and accurate manner, meeting SLAs.  This will be done in conjunction with the HR community and other customers to maximise business knowledge with technical capability. The Reporting Analyst will also be required to undertake quality assurance across all activities and continually look for improvement opportunities, to ensure that the various outputs provided are robust and assist with fact based decision making.

The opportunity…

As a Reporting Analyst, you’ll be responsible for scoping, designing and providing scheduled HR and payroll management information, ensuring that you meet the required SLA deliverables and build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the business. You’ll produce, present and communicate analytical insight both written and verbal, providing the basis for problem solving and influencing decision making. 

The Reporting Analyst will develop, review and test analysis modelling and make recommendations to inform and challenge business operations and have the ability to scope, build and deliver dashboards from various systems including, myHR, Tableau and Excel. You’ll identify opportunities for improvements and contribute to the drive for efficiency of services offered by Employee Services and continuously improve the self service functionality for our customers. 

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues within Employee Services and across the business to support the development of the Success Factors system and create custom reporting where required. The Reporting Analyst will provide quality assurance and analyse reports and related data to ensure integrity and accuracy of information contained and take action to address data quality concerns and escalate if necessary. 


What we’re looking for…

Being a Reporting Analyst at EDF means you’ll have advanced numerical, analytical and data manipulation skills along with the ability to work confidently and independently as part of a team under your own initiative. You’ll have experience of using Tableau, creating working dashboards and keeping skills up to date by attending webinars.  

As a Reporting Analyst you’ll be Advanced Excel user, confidently completing Pivot Tables, Formulas and Macros and have an eye for detail, ensuring that the outputs are accurate and precise. You’ll have the ability to identify root causes for problems and define solutions which meet customer needs and be able to communicate the problems and solutions in a clear and concise manner to meet the different needs of the customer. 
You’ll have the ability to apply logical and well thought out solutions to complex situations and have an ability to identify efficiency improvements to work streams and processes.

The Reporting Analyst will have the ability to understand and manage processes and deal with any associated risks. You’ll be able to provide analytical commentary and have the confidence to challenge requests and ensure they meet specific requirements of the business.
