What does this People Analytics opportunity offer you?


We’re recruiting for students to join our HR Reporting Analyst Placement within our Corporate HR team. Our Employees Services People Analytics Team provides companywide reporting and analysis of HR-related information for employees, such as: sickness, turnover, payroll and pensions. 

 

As part of this key team, you’ll design and build reporting solutions, using tools such as: Excel, SAP SuccessFactors and Tableau. You’ll fulfil 3 main objectives: 
 
•    Maintain the organisational structure with our HR system 
•    Deliver regular reporting and dashboards to provide key information on all our HR topic areas 
•    Engage with internal stakeholders on specific business issues to provide insight and understanding to support evidence-based action

Training, development, and support for you:


Over the course of this 12-month programme, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in hands-on learning, working on real-world challenges that directly impact the energy industry. Most of your learning will be on the job, supported by your mentor and the teams around you. You’ll have a chance to apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.


You’ll have the opportunity to: 
 
•    Analyse reports and related data to ensure integrity and accuracy of information 
•    Engage with relevant stakeholders throughout the business, offering support and challenge to aid decision making 
•    Gather the requirements of our customers to produce new reporting or analysis, and make recommendations  
•    Deliver value-adding reporting and analytics to share with the customer 


Develop and maintain process and guidance documentation in line with company compliance policy, internal controls, and data protection legislation.

Your work location:

 
You’ll be based at Portland Road, Hove. Once you’ve completed a few weeks or so in the role your time will be split between the office and home. 

 

Who you are:


We are looking for candidates who are:

 

  • On track to achieve or will have already achieved a 2:2 undergraduate degree or 2:2 postgraduate qualification in any discipline with a data element, HR or Business
  • Very strong technical and analytical skills
  • Experience of generating reporting and analytics based on customer requirements 
  • Excellent and experienced user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
