A career that will deliver change. Together, we can help Britain achieve net zero.

Join our HR Industrial Placement programme and you can make an immediate impact, powering the nation today, whilst helping to build a sustainable energy future for tomorrow.

“Being an IP within HRBSST gives great exposure to the vast array of systems and processes utilised by EDF’s HR departments. There are several group projects to get involved with, as well the scope to work independently to resolve issues. I feel as though there is always someone to turn to should I require guidance, and I am provided with support to enhance both my personal and professional development.”  Arbaz Mahmood, HR Systems Industrial Placement

What is the HR Industrial Placement Programme?

We’re recruiting for students to join our HR Placement Programme within the Employee Shared Services Team.

Our Employees Services HR Team consists of various different teams such as AskHR, Payroll, People Analytics, HRBSST, Regional Case Advisory, Project & Performance and the Redeployment Team.

All of the teams offer support to the wider business in subjects relating to HR, Systems, Payroll queries, analytics and reports, continuous improvement and redeployment changes within the business. Employee Services is a centralised hub where internal employees can go for guidance.

This hub supports all of EDF staff and is constantly evolving to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Training, development and support for you:

Over this 12-month programme, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain insight on how our shared services programme works and be involved with the continuous improvement of systems and streamlining queries

  • Part take and learn about the payroll cycle

  • Work on continuous improvement projects

  • Study our framework and processes and look for constant ways to improve these

The transferable skills and experience that you’ll gain during this placement; in system/tool usage, teamwork, collaboration, customer service, and commercial thinking, will set you up for a successful career and you’ll build a great network of stakeholders, should you apply to EDF after your graduation.
