Campaign Scheduler

The Opportunity

As a Campaign Scheduler you will be instrumental in driving efficiencies across EDF’s comms teams. You will work across Email, Direct Mail and SMS, supporting a varity of areas such as; Operational, Regulatory and Ecommerce teams to manage plans, prioritise and drive efficiency in the delivery of campaigns. You will oversee the scheduling of all email, DM and SMS activity deployment as we move from three emails platforms to one in-house platform. Being the main point of contact for all comms, data, engineer and email delivery team. 

We are looking for a scheduler to ensure our campaigns are resourced effectively, leading to a structured and organised delivery as well as quicker turnaround times. As a Campaign Deployment Executive, you will be required to gain a solid understanding of our marketing technology system and support navigating the challenges that may be presented, changing priorities and effective management of resources and their skillsets. Daily work will involve capturing resource requests via planning calls and campaign briefs, prioritising requests, supporting in forecasting resource needs against the campaign pipeline, the organisation of resources and assets required to execute campaigns as well as delivery and stakeholder management.  

Day to Day:

  • Understanding business priorities and managing email prioritisation across the different teams whilst leading weekly campaign planning calls to ensure alignment across teams, agree priorities and identify any potential risks with campaign clashes.
  • Ensuring that the campaign deployment schedule is aligned with the campaign pipeline and team capacity and managing deployment of individual campaigns to manage risk to IP.
  • Reviewing incoming briefs and campaign requirements from Comms teams to define the tasks, effort and timelines to get campaigns live and re-prioritising campaigns including stakeholder management to accommodate business demands and urgent requests.
  • Securing resource of deployment team using appropriate resourcing tools and documents whilst assigning tasks and checking the status of outstanding tasks using appropriate workflow tools.
  • Share status updates to senior stakeholders on campaign activity whilst ensuring Quality Assurance checks are being carried out across the necessary teams.
  • Supporting teams with render testing checks and content QA whilst checking data has been sent, received and campaigns have been delivered as planned and reflecting this on the deployment plan.

The Role

You will lead on the scheduling of emails across multiple teams working to in-house emails, manage priorities, resource and tracking and communicating email status. To include DM and SMS in the future. You will be expected to update the daily status of all campaigns – live, planned, delivered etc and provide Forecasting demand to hit deadlines. You will also ensure the process is understood across the business; regular review and refinement of process including stakeholder on-boarding. A key part of your role will be to manage the planner in a way that’s easy to share, access and interrogate info for tracking and reporting purposes.

The Skills

To be successful in your application you will have experience in a similar role - with familiarity of complex projects and programmes. You’re an ace subject matter expert on planning/scheduling and prioritisation against business goals. You will also have: 

  • Experience of working to manage email scheduling. 
  • Exceptional Excel skills and ability to adopt new systems easily. 
  • Experience using resource planning tools and analysis, the pros and cons for different systems. 
  • A project management qualification and experience in the marketing technology industry is desirable.
