Maintenance Team Leader

The Opportunity

 

As a Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating team activities and resources to ensure full compliance with agreed safety and environmental standards and expectations.  Promoting and leading safety culture in all team activities.

Ultimately you will lead and manage your team with responsibility for the safety, effectiveness, productivity, and quality of work of the maintenance team, while reporting directly to the Maintenance Group Head.

What you’ll be doing

 

You will ensure that all team activities are carried out with full regard to site license requirements, statutory regulations, Company and location directives, procedures, and Safety Rules. Ensuring that team resources, processes and activities are continuously reviewed and optimised to achieve Station objectives. You will be maintaining team members training, ensuring it is in line with business need, integrating learning opportunities, where appropriate to the team.

 

Other key tasks include:

  • Leading a team of multiskilled technicians carrying out maintenance to the highest standards in line with the conduct of maintenance and the Maintenance department fundamentals. Proven record in delivering high quality maintenance.
  • Allocating work to team members in accordance with the planned work schedules.
  • Commitment to improving all aspects of quality both within their existing team and across other teams comprising of multi discipline trades.

 

Who you are

 

We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead and develop a team, experience with this could be within a complex industry, such as, gas & oil, steel, manufacturing or similar. You will have experience with being highly committed to safety and quality improvement. You should have a strong human performance culture and commitment to promote HU within the team, with the ability to coach others and a good understanding of the work management process.
