Supplier Performance Manager - Supply Chain

We’re looking for two Supplier Performance Managers to join our thriving team, this role will be to lead and support a team of internal and external professionals. Your role within EDF will be to provide effective, co-ordinated and customer focused service solutions, to improve the quality and safety of Nuclear Operations!

The opportunity…

 

To lead and support a team of internal and external professionals to provide effective, co-ordinated and customer focused service solutions that enhance safety and quality and deliver value for money across the Nuclear Operations business within the allocated market sector(s).

To continuously review contract performance to drive continuous improvement and provide safe and sustainable solutions. Ensuring consistent deployment of a standardised approach aligned with company ambitions through benchmarking, best practice sharing, and peer group interaction. While supporting the fleet by undertaking supplier outage readiness reviews, outage safety walks and tactical support. 

The Supplier Performance Manager will be responsible for the delivery of services under high value, high risk, high complexity contracts. Indirectly responsible for several internal peers and influence on key external central contractor staff. Indirect reporting to the sponsoring Director, Station Directors, Plant Managers & Station Supply Chain Managers

This role is a hybrid role with 2 – 3 days a week at our Gloucester Business Park with Multi-site travel throughout existing nuclear fleet and suppliers premises across the UK.

What you’ll be doing…

 

  • Provide effective, co-ordinated and customer focused service solutions that enhance safety and quality and deliver value for money across the existing nuclear business.
  • Establish annual business plan with the allocated contract partner and co-ordinate deployment to ensure optimised service delivery through effective operational contract management.
  • Establish an effective relationship management process with key stakeholders (including steering group, station Contract Managers, Market Specialist, and all key staff within the contractor organisation), ensuring their requirements are clearly understood managed and delivered.
  • Act as the operational focal point for both internal and external organisations for safety, quality, environmental and operational activities.
  • Establish and deploy service level agreements and a consistent service delivery model across all locations.
  • Establish a service performance measurement process, including regular internal and external cost and service benchmarking to regularly monitor and review performance to ensure service is maintained.
  • Identify areas of supplier performance weakness and strengths and take any necessary corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the development and deployment of improvement plans.
  • Influence supplier activities to ensure goods and services are delivered to safety, quality, time and cost requirements minimising any operational impacts.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and communication to ensure awareness and understanding of objectives, improvements and performance.
  • Conduct audits / assessment on suppliers to an agreed standard and timeously produce and distribute audit reports, corrective action requests, and opportunities for improvement including any follow-up activities.
  • Apply human performance tools to enhance operational safety and performance.

 

Who you are…

 

  • Degree level education in a business-related discipline
  • Professional qualification, e.g. MCIPS
  • Proven senior management experience in a multi-site environment including people management and IT skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of implementing Strategic direction including supporting tender processes, contract management, internal & external interaction, and project management.
  • Proven large budget management experience including prioritising spends in a dynamic environment, risk management, whole life costing and continuously improving Business efficiency.
  • Proven track record in managing contracts and contractor relationships.
  • Previous exposure to quality processes e.g. TQM, Kaizen, six sigma
  • Health & Safety experience (e.g. IOSH, CDM Regulations)
  • Quality experience (e.g. ISO9001, auditing)
