We are currently recruiting for a Security Platform Engineer to join a brand-new function within an existing team where you’ll have the opportunity to help shape and mould the future of this new team.

What You’ll be doing:

  • Working as part of a new security platform team, you will be able to contribute and shape the way in which the team operates.
  • Applying software & security patches, performing security device configuration changes, improving firewall access policies, ensuring our security mitigations and threat profiles operate as expected.
  • Monitoring and Capacity Management across the security infrastructure
  • Performing security posture management including security policy reviews, vulnerability management, and SASE controls
  • Planning, scheduling, and executing platform upgrades.
  • Working with our GRC teams, contributing towards our regulatory requirements.
  • Help shape and then test our security controls and contribute towards improving our overall security posture.
  • Contribute towards and then operating in line with our defined platform standards.

 

Who you are, and what you will bring:

As a Security Platform Engineer, you will need as much demonstrable knowledge and experience in as many of the following areas as possible.

  • Enterprise grade next generation firewalls and SASE products
  • Vulnerability Management & Email Hygiene Solutions
  • Web Proxies and Internet traffic controls
  • Enterprise network monitoring tools
  • Administrating network security access policies
  • Configuring new security profiles and protections
  • DNS & SSL Certificates
  • Stakeholder management, and good customer facing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision and to integrate well within a team.
  • Agile development and operations using SAFe, scrum or a similar method.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with both IT and business-facing colleagues.
  • Experience of working with Security Ops, compliance, risk, and governance practices
  • Previous experience working for an MSSP would be considered a plus.

 

Eligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance is a requirement for this role.
