Nuclear Decommissioning Finance Business Partner, Permanent, Flexible Location with a competitive salary and terms and conditions covered by the EDF Personal Contract. The starting salary will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

 

The Opportunity

 

As the Nuclear Decommissioning Finance Business Partner you will take responsibility for relationships with a number of Directors, Head of Functions or NLF Programme/Function Leads providing both challenge and support in your areas of expertise; cost control, applications for new or additional funding, financial controls, development of the MTP and formulation of budgets.

The Role

 

As the successful ND Finance Business Partner, you will:

 

•    Support Financial Review meetings by ensuring that financial information provided is accurate, up to date and insightful and that financial issues, risk and opportunities are appropriately addressed.
•    Support change initiatives across the Finance organisation, encouraging exemplary ways of working when partnering, supporting and challenging. Seeking process improvements and promoting best practice.
•    Manage the financial performance, providing advice and recommendations to ensure that the annual plan is adhered to.
•    Ensure that cost targets are strictly adhered to and that a culture of cost consciousness and accountability is present throughout the organisation.
•    Produce monthly reports describing the financial variances from plan and the impact on the financial forecast for the full year
•    Lead Financial Review meetings with the Directors and Heads of Functions to identify, investigate & mitigate risks, issues and opportunities, agree interventions and management action to manage performance.
•    Monitor financial KPIs, scorecards and set performance target in alignment to strategy and plans
•    Become a strategic partner to the Business supporting with relevant analyses and integration into the DPP/Annual Liabilities report 2.
•    Ensure alignment and compliance to all ND procedure and processes in relation to all qualifying costs within the ALR2 are adhered to.
•    Support and attend Project/Programme Performance review meetings with the NLA, providing insight into variances and leading on resolving financial issues raised by the NLA.

 

The Skills

 

You will be a qualified accountant with one of the recognised UK Professional Organisations, and ideally have previous Business Partnering experience, this will include managing internal and external relationships and having the ability to support, compromise and negotiate when needed.

 

You will be broad-minded and have the ability to consider a full range of factors that will ultimately impact the Business decisions and ultimately you will need to be an excellent decision maker, and have a astute numerical and analytical skills.
