The Opportunity

#WeAreEDF and are leading the transition to a cleaner, low emission electric future, tackling climate change and helping Britain achieve net zero.

The Technical Services Organisation (TSO), in combination with the new Design Authorities of the Licensees, will form the Technical Client Organisation (TCO); a platform for collaboration driving a common approach and replication where appropriate. Longer term the vision is to create an organisation that will ultimately bring together all the required “Technical” support resources in EDF’s UK nuclear business units to enable EDF related duty holders to comply with all conditions inherent in the UK’s regulatory framework for nuclear safety, security and environmental protection.

TCO will provide EDF UK with the technical knowledge and expertise required to support new nuclear build projects, operating stations and decommissioning sites. The Structural Integrity Branch will initially focus on providing this support to Hinkley Point C (HPC), with an increasing role in supporting Sizewell C (SZC). SIB will enact the client's duties to specify, understand and verify the application of the plant’s Safety Case requirements, ensuring the Structural Integrity Safety Case is not compromised during the design, procurement, erection and operational phases.

We now have an opportunity for an Equipment Qualification (EQ) engineer to support the technical management and acceptance of design deliverables relating to either mechanical or electrical equipment to accident conditions.
