The Opportunity

At EDF UK, we are the largest producer of low carbon electricity and the biggest supplier of electricity by volume in Great Britain. People are our greatest asset and it is vital we have a robust Enterprise IT function to be successful in meeting the demands of our organisation.

We are currently recruiting an Enterprise Product Owner to join our Enterprise IT team and be responsible for setting the roadmap and ensuring the delivery of features and capabilities for a small number of similar products that deliver customer value.

If you are product and business value focussed this will be a great opportunity for you. You will work across agile development teams and stakeholders across the Release Train including Security Leads, Service Leads, System Architects and Senior Scrum Master and be on hand to support the agile team in understanding user stories.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, therefore you don’t have to live in Gloucester. As long as you are in a position to travel to the office when required to collaborate with your team and stakeholders you can be based anywhere in the UK.

We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively. Paul Mckay, Enterprise Product Manager says " The ability to be flexible with my location, and using a blended working approach means that I have reduced the time spent commuting, which has allowed for more productivity. It has also meant that I am able to attend events at my Son’s school, more easily, and I now never miss a delivery. It has also meant that I am able to take the dog for a walk as needed during the day, allowing me to clear my head."

The Role & Skills

As an Enterprise Product Owner, you are responsible for working closely with the product manager building the product vison. You will align this with the roadmap, features and capabilities of the overall platform.

We need you to be knowledgeable in areas of SASE (secure access service edge) and Networks security.

You will be responsible for 6 full time employees so it’s essential to be an excellent leader who can facilitate sprint ceremonies, guiding and advising agile team members.

We need you to have a good balance between technical and business acumen. An understanding of Network security tech including firewalls, proxies, F5 technologies and vulnerability management will give you a great advantage.

If you have track record of delivering Software, Platform or Infrastructure as-a-Service solutions in energy, utilities or similar sector, I’d love to speak with you.

This role will require security clearance and there is a full job description available should you wish to see it.

Competitive Salary & Benefits

At EDF we’re dedicated to offering flexible benefits that support our people across all aspects of their lives. We’re delighted to offer a range of benefits to support our employees’ physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.

In addition to a competitive we offer a market-leading company pension scheme, paid holidays and a range of flexible benefits, such as: a company incentive bonus plan, health cover, cycle to work scheme, gym membership, discounts and employee pricing.
