We’re recruiting for people to join us on the next exciting phase of our Nuclear journey.  We’re offering an opportunity for someone with passion for process & business improvement and who relishes working in a commercially driven environment which is delivering a large programme of improvement work on major customer contracts.

What do you need to be great at this role?

Do you have an operational background preferably with knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques? Are you adept at analysing data with a view to understanding process losses? Would you like to be part of one of the most challenging issues facing the Nuclear Industry today?

As the Defueling & Modelling Lead within our Nuclear Decommissioning Team you will identifying through ‘operational research’ innovative solutions potential operational bottlenecks and weaknesses that could deliver significant value to the UK tax payer and / or EDF. You will be responsible for liaising with colleagues within Nuclear Decommissioning and the stations and then articulating complex technical information in a clear and concise way, as well as leading and providing presentations and technical reports to a range of key stakeholders, including senior management.  

 

What skills will you need?

Ideally, you will be familiar with large-scale infrastructure projects and in a highly regulated industry and you will have experience with modern manufacturing improvement techniques. What is more important to us is your ability to work in a collaborative fashion, building and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels.  You need to be a top-class communicator and confident in producing and delivering flawless products in tight timescales. Having an understanding of the Nuclear industry is an advantage but not essential.

What rewards will you get?

The position is a Personal Contract role which attracts a salary in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 (negotiable for the right candidate).  You will receive 25 days annual holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, flexible benefit scheme and bonus.
