Data and Systems Lead

The opportunity

 

You will be responsible for Supply Chain Systems ensuring their appropriate development, design, implementation, and compliance. Lead and develop a team focused on the establishment, embedding and continuous improvement of system and data governance strategy. Focusing on improvement, reporting, insight, and intelligence generation to support Nuclear Operations, governance, and business improvement. An integral part of this role will include supporting implementation and oversight and compliance of Supply arrangements across Nuclear Operations and other Business Units. Ensuring best practice data governance and the generation and design of reporting and Key Performance Indicators showing and support adherence and compliance to Supply Chain Policy and Process.

 

This is a hybrid role, 2-3 days in our Gloucester Business Park office.

What you will be doing …

 

  • You will deal with a wide variety of stakeholders in relation to Governance, Functional & Business Improvement and will develop knowledge and skills across the Supply Chain function.
  • Manage the team responsible for supply chain systems, supply chain data (including governance, structures, taxonomies, reporting, Key Performance Indicators and Dashboards).
  • Provide functional reporting to include KPI dashboards, risk intelligence compliance and probity reporting.
  • You will be responsible for both generating reporting and data and developing insight from which recommendations and action plans for improvement can be generated, implemented, monitored, and delivered.
  • Lead and drive supply chain system and digital governance development, implementation, and management for the supply chain function. This will require interaction with other functions who own enterprise systems ensuring that Supply Chain requirements are supported.
  • Be involved in the day-to-day and timely management and resolution of queries from supply chain practitioners on process, governance and system issues when making changes to or adding suppliers to the database.
  • To drive continuous improvement within function and Nuclear Family to increase operational flexibility creating and maintaining mechanisms for on-going feedback on compliance, performance, and best practice.
  • Support optimisation of the Station Supply Chain arrangements through digital tools, reporting, data, insight, and supply chain best practice.
  • Apply human performance tools to enhance functional performance.
  • Professional development of self and people within team.

 

 

Who you are...

 

  • Qualification in data management, data analytics, computer science or similar.
  • A relevant professional qualification e.g. Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply is desirable.
  • Supply Chain experience is not neccesary, but strong data and systems experience is cruicial. 
  • Leadership & Management experience.
  • Strong data governance principles and experience in managing complex datasets in large complex organisation.
  • Analytical ability to understand key trends within datasets.
  • Advanced experience in all Microsoft packages, with exceptional skills in Excel and Power BI.
  • Understanding of supply chain function performance measurement including contractual performance, risk management and change management.
  • Understanding of data management, data flows, PowerApps, Power Automate or similar platforms.
  • Proven Systems, Data Governance and Reporting experience in Supply Chain
  • Proven experience in a leadership post
  • Detailed working knowledge of supply chain management
  • Knowledge of different approaches to Supply Chain Management e.g. asset management, continuous improvement techniques
