Get ready to launch your Engineering career with our customised 15 – month training programme! You'll rotate through exciting placements that are designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. Experience the hands-on work across our Nuclear new build sites.

Training, development, and support for you

 

We're committed to your growth, offering a tailored training path to enhance your skills and knowledge 
You’ll contribute to different projects throughout the programme and here are some examples of work our recent Chemistry graduates have completed:

 

•    Preparing a fire strategy for buildings at our power stations
•    Working in the Fuel Route, Outage and Investment Delivery team
•    Understanding of the preparations for operating HPC when complete
•    Working on site at a power station, supporting graphite inspections

 
Our Science and Engineering Programme also includes protected training time for courses covering nuclear fundamentals, EPR (European Pressurised Reactor) systems, communications, and health & safety.

 

Our scheme is accredited with a number of professional institutions, and we’ll support you to gain chartership with the relevant professional body:

•    Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) 
•    Institute of Physics (IoP) 
•    The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE)

Throughout the programme, you’ll have the chance to explore a variety of our sites, immersing yourself in the diversity of our business.

Please note this programme is rotational in its nature, so you will be required to move around. But don’t worry - we’ve got you covered with practical and financial support every step of the way.


Who you are

 

To join our team you’ll need a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in Engineering, Science or a related subject. 


We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in nuclear energy, the power generation industry and technology with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, whilst being keen to solve technical problems. 

 

Additionally, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.


Our Virtual Assessment Centres will take place on 19th, 20th and 21st November.
