The Opportunity

Here at EDF we have an exciting opportunity within our Nuclear Decommissioning space for our next Business Analyst otherwise known as Assumptions and Submissions Lead. This role entails collaborating closely with our internal technical specialists and financial modelling experts to fortify the resilience of our assumptions.

Your aim is to endure thorough examination from senior stakeholders, both within EDF and our external partners, including Government review. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating input and crafting essential content for vital business submissions and presentations.

We’re offering a competitive salary for this opportunity with our terms and conditions covered by the EDF Personal Contract. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experiences, and qualification. We’re open to flexible working with contractual locations being primarily based at Gloucester Business Park however, happy for home working. With this said, there will be a requirement to attend the office on a business need basis.

What you'll be doing

In order to achieve successful Nuclear Decommissioning, we are actively managing programme delivery oversight to meet contractual commitments. Additionally, we are focusing on establishing robust cost reimbursement processes, comprehensive programme planning, mission-critical cultural engagement, and a dedicated asset transfer capability. These goals will be obtained through the dedication and hard work of this role.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with various internal stakeholders to scrutinise data and provide challenge to understand performance and support the delivery of outcomes and benefits in line with commitments made to the NLA
• Providing the required data and narrative to support reporting to the NLA, ENGL and other internal stakeholders
• Responsible for overseeing queries / disputes and proactively managing the resolution of them and any escalation and intervention required
• Supporting audit and assurance activities in relation to submissions
• Regular stakeholder management and communications both internally and externally with the NLA
• Leading development of effective and efficient systems and processes to manage a growing liabilities portfolio
• Support the lifetime liability plans preparation, assurance, governance and approvals process.
