Supplier Performance Manager
We’re looking for two Supplier Performance Managers to join our thriving team, this role will be to lead and support a team of internal and external professionals. Your role within EDF will be to provide effective, co-ordinated and customer focused service solutions, to improve the quality and safety of Nuclear Operations!

The opportunity
To lead and support a team of internal and external professionals to provide effective, co-ordinated and customer focused service solutions that enhance safety and quality and deliver value for money across the Nuclear Operations business within the allocated market sector(s).
To continuously review contract performance to drive continuous improvement and provide safe and sustainable solutions. Ensuring consistent deployment of a standardised approach aligned with company ambitions through benchmarking, best practice sharing, and peer group interaction. While supporting the fleet by undertaking supplier outage readiness reviews, outage safety walks and tactical support.
The Supplier Performance Manager will be responsible for the delivery of services under high value, high risk, high complexity contracts. Indirectly responsible for several internal peers and influence on key external central contractor staff. Indirect reporting to the sponsoring Director, Station Directors, Plant Managers & Station Supply Chain Managers.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective, coordinated, and customer-focused service solutions that enhance safety and quality while delivering value for money across the existing nuclear business. You will establish an annual business plan with the allocated contract partner and coordinate deployment to ensure optimized service delivery through effective operational contract management.
You will also establish an effective relationship management process with key stakeholders, including the steering group, station Contract Managers, Market Specialists, and all key staff within the contractor organization. This ensures their requirements are clearly understood, managed, and delivered. Acting as the operational focal point for both internal and external organizations, you will oversee safety, quality, environmental, and operational activities.
Additionally, you will establish and deploy service level agreements and a consistent service delivery model across all locations. You will set up a service performance measurement process, including regular internal and external cost and service benchmarking, to monitor and review performance regularly, ensuring service is maintained. Identifying areas of supplier performance weaknesses and strengths, you will take necessary corrective and preventive actions.
Driving continuous improvement through the development and deployment of improvement plans is another key aspect of this role. You will influence supplier activities to ensure goods and services are delivered to meet safety, quality, time, and cost requirements, minimizing any operational impacts. Providing leadership, direction, and communication, you will ensure awareness and understanding of objectives, improvements, and performance.
Conducting audits and assessments on suppliers to an agreed standard, you will produce and distribute audit reports, corrective action requests, and opportunities for improvement, including any follow-up activities. Finally, you will apply human performance tools to enhance operational safety and performance.
Who you are
The candidate holds a degree-level education in a business-related discipline and possesses a professional qualification, such as MCIPS. They have proven senior management experience in a multi-site environment, demonstrating strong people management and IT skills.
They have extensive knowledge and experience in implementing strategic direction, which includes supporting tender processes, contract management, internal and external interactions, and project management. Their experience also encompasses managing large budgets, prioritizing spends in dynamic environments, risk management, whole life costing, and continuously improving business efficiency.
The candidate has a proven track record in managing contracts and contractor relationships. They have been exposed to quality processes such as TQM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma. Additionally, they have health and safety experience, including IOSH and CDM Regulations, and quality experience, such as ISO9001 and auditing.
