We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Solutions and Automations team in EDF as a Scrum Master. As part of our new team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our agile transformation and ensuring successful product delivery through effective Scrum practices.

The Scrum Master will be assigned to different product teams and may also have the opportunity to rotate within the Rapid Response team, providing diverse experiences and contributing to the overall success of multiple initiatives.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Agile Facilitation: Act as a dedicated Scrum Master for product teams, providing guidance and coaching on agile principles, values, and Scrum practices.
  • Team Empowerment: Foster a collaborative and self-organising environment, empowering the team to make decisions and continuously improve their processes.
  • Scrum Processes: Facilitate Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and focused on achieving team goals.
  • Agile Best Practices: Promote and enforce the adoption of agile best practices, tools, and techniques within the product teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework principles.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of product vision, priorities, and requirements.
  • Conflict Resolution: Identify and address any impediments or conflicts hindering the team's progress and facilitate resolutions to maintain team productivity.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and communicate key performance metrics, such as velocity and burn-down charts, to track the team's progress and help them make data-driven decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement, both at the team level and across the organisation, through retrospectives, knowledge sharing, and agile coaching.
  • Training and Development: participating in training programs to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge in agile practices.

 

Who you are

 

You’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about agile methodologies and eager to learn and grow in the role of a Scrum Master. You’ll have agile knowledge meaning you’re familiar with agile principles and values, as well as having knowledge of Scrum framework and related practices.

 

A strong communicator who has the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience in facilitating events and coaching teams in adopting new practices, with the ability to foster collaboration, lead by example, and promote a positive team culture.

 

It’s imperative that you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address conflicts and impediments to keep the team on track. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where you’re adaptable to changing priorities and requirements.

 

A Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master) is desirable but definitely not mandatory.
