Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent benefits

The Opportunity

Do you have experience in planning, creating, and distributing high quality content which has real impact?

As a Digital Communications Executive, you will support the delivery of the External Communications Strategy ensuring alignment with the Communications strategy for the Hinkley Point C project.

You will lead on the day-to-day delivery of digital and social media for HPC and provide advice, insight and strategy, working closely with the central content team and external agencies on proactive plans and issues.

You’ll work independently in the drafting of some external communications and seek the appropriate level of sign off from the External Communications Senior Manager or the Head of Communications as required.

In this role you will represent the HPC Communications team on Project Teams and Company-wide forums, keeping the External Communications Senior Manager informed of plans on a regular basis.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, however there'll be a requirement to work from the Bristol office and travel to the project at Bridgwater on a regular basis, as well as the requirement to travel to the office in London on an adhoc basis to collaborate with the wider team.

Immy Silby, Internal Communications Senior Consultant, says “I’ve got the flexibility to work from different office locations as well as from home. This allows me to have a good work/life balance and helps me to make time for the things which are important to me.”

The Role and Skills

You will be part of a small team delivering a variety of activities. Therefore, you must be able to operate a wide range of concurrent activities and respond flexibly to changing demands. You may be called on to respond quickly in a media crisis/on-site situation and will be required to be flexible and responsive should emergency situations arise.

Being a Digital Communications Executive at EDF means you will have strong experience in social media and content management together with the proven ability to grow and sustain an online community.

We’re looking for someone with excellent literacy skills with an ability to write accurately to tight deadlines, to recognise areas of sensitivity and opportunity and to exercise good judgement in fast-changing circumstances.

You will have a good understanding of measurement platforms and how data can inform future decision-making and will be familiar with web and social tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite and Brandwatch.
