We’re looking for someone to join the Financial Forecasting and Performance team as a Debt Modelling Lead and be responsible for the strategic approach to how we measure the risk associated with outstanding debt.

As a Debt Modelling Lead, you will be responsible for planning and forecasting debt, cost of bad debt and other operational activities as required within the Financial Forecasting and Performance area within Back Office Asset and Revenue Operations. This will include development of medium-term plans and supporting with monitoring performance against KPI measures.

What you’ll be doing…

You will lead the team responsible for forecasting debt and cost of bad debt in addition to other operational activities as required, delivering recommendations based on proven insight to Senior Manager of Debt Operations, Senior Manager of Insight, Performance and Optimisation and the Financial Forecasting & Performance Manager that allow changes to ways of working that clearly drive and increased return on investment and improved financial performance.

You’ll also work with colleagues from around the business to develop and review the assumptions within forecasts ensuring necessary stakeholder agreement and sign-off within the preparation of all forecasts. 

Working with colleagues to support the development of operational interventions to reduce debt and the bad debt charge aligned to the overarching Debt reform plan. As well as to ensure that intervention impacts/challenges are fully understood by the operational teams and appropriately reflected in forecasts.

Who you are…

We’re looking for someone who has financial management experience, together with Anaplan, Excel and a deep industry knowledge.

You will also have experience in planning, forecasting and business analysis together with, demonstrable experience in providing inspirational leadership with a proven ability in motivating teams to achieve goals and deliver against KPI’s and objectives.

You’ll be able to establish and maintain effective business relationships with key stakeholders at all levels with strong influencing skills. 

You’ll also have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to translate business strategies into clear objectives, plans and team priorities.

An accounting qualification or relevant experience would be an advantage.
