The Opportunity

As the Senior Manager of Onboarding & Billing you will be part of the Core Services & Metering Leadership team and therefore responsible for generating and protecting EBS’s revenue. The team is a shared service provider to other parts of EBS, meaning success depends on combining a crisp understanding of stakeholder expectation with your own views of what the team needs to deliver industry-leading customer experiences.

You are responsible for building and maintaining a highly skilled, high performing team of operational and process/data/tech professionals that work hybrid and across geographies. You will ensure your teams deliver against stretching and competitive service & operational targets. You have unwavering focus on providing the team with clear purpose, wellbeing and autonomy and promote a culture of collaboration, achievement and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will be accountable for delivering supply customers with a high-quality onboarding to billing experience. This is mainly facilitated through our Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) application which you will be responsible for using and maintaining in a compliant and fitting way.

You’ll need to have a detailed understanding of the application and the wider IT landscape and be able to understand the data architecture and data landscape in detail as a key enabler for correct operational outcomes.

You will be driving continuous improvement, innovation and optimise efficiency, promoting advanced analytics and intelligent automation to be used in the operation. This focusses on areas like monitoring and alerting, intelligent identification of next-best-actions and automated exception handling.

You’ll be setting stretching but achievable long-term objectives, whilst delivering performance and managing expectations in the short term. You will manage and control expenditure, by operating within and charging for services in accordance with budgetary targets. 

Finally, as a member of the EBS leadership community you will be key in supporting Peers, Senior Leadership and Stakeholders to gain & retain competitive advantage and deliver with excellence. You will report to the Head of Core Services & Metering.

o    A deep understanding of (intelligent) automation

o    An education to degree level or a demonstration of ability to the same level delivered in a working environment
o    Strong planning and organisational skills, able to translate business strategies into clear objectives, plans and team priorities.
o    High attention to detail
o    Ability to innovate, think laterally and tackle new areas of business risk
o    Demonstrable resilience and ability to lead large teams of people through periods of rapid change
