Pricing Analyst – 12-month fixed term contract

The Opportunity…
 

Within EDF Business Solutions (EBS), our Pricing team are the driving force behind delivering accurate prices, valuations, contracts and tender responses to support our Sales teams. As a Pricing Analyst, you’ll collaborate with diverse teams across the business to ensure contracts are expertly managed from tender through to settlement.
 

In a role where continuous improvement is key, you’ll actively seek opportunities to add value and make an impact. With full support to grow your skills, you’ll contribute to innovative process designs, automation, and commercial analysis, all while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic GB energy market.

What you’ll be doing
 

In this role, you'll play a key part in refining and enhancing our pricing strategies, driving operational excellence to support the smooth running of the business. Your day-to-day activities may include:

•    Pricing bespoke contracts and performing critical cost and volumetric reconciliations.
•    Publishing price curves, managing system data, and updating models.
•    Producing and validating consumption and generation forecasts, ensuring accurate pricing for one-off sites.
•    Processing energy contracts, calculating consumption forecast impacts, and ensuring timely, accurate billing.
•    Delivering tailored analysis to support business and customer reporting.

You will be empowered to identify and act on opportunities for process and technology improvements, and we'll provide the resources to help you develop the skills needed to bring these ideas to life, with the potential to gain external accreditation. 
 

You'll also be involved in testing and deploying system changes, contributing to governance, and ensuring the accurate calculation of internal costs. In addition, there are opportunities to get involved in projects, performing detailed mathematical and impact analysis to uncover valuable insights related to customers, risk, and margin.
 

Who you are
 

We’re looking for a conscientious, team-player, able to perform detailed processes with high degrees of accuracy and efficiency. You should be able to demonstrate your ability and desire to learn and employ new tools and technologies to improve the way you do things. Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and a strong academic background are expected. 
 

A quantitative academic background, and some programming experience (Alteryx, VBA, SQL, Python, Machine Learning) would be an advantage along with knowledge of the GB energy sector, however, if not, training will be provided.
