The Opportunity
 

As a Performance Analyst in our Metering Operations team, you'll play a key role in driving smart meter adoption by evaluating processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and shaping investment cases for new initiatives. 
 

You'll analyse large datasets, translate insights into action, and gain buy-in from senior leaders, customers, and regulators. With a focus on efficiency, automation, and engagement, you'll help refine processes, enhance communications, and support colleagues to ensure best practices are embedded across the team.

What you’ll be doing 
 

As a Performance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving efficiency and performance across our Metering Operations team. Your work will help shape strategy, optimise processes, and improve customer engagement. 
 

Key responsibilities will include:

•    Driving Improvement – Evaluate processes, identify opportunities for optimisation, and support investment cases for new initiatives and projects.
•    Data Analysis & Insights – Work with large datasets, extracting meaningful insights and presenting clear, actionable conclusions.
•    Process Optimisation – Recommend and implement improvements through re-engineering, standardisation, outsourcing, automation, or systemisation.
•    Influencing & Engagement – Gain buy-in from senior leaders, customers, and regulators to drive performance improvement initiatives.
•    Enhancing Communication – Continuously refine messaging and materials to improve engagement and boost appointment volumes.
•    Collaboration & Best Practice – Support and mentor fellow Analysts and Process Experts, ensuring best practices are embedded across the team.

 

Who you are 
 

To succeed as a Performance Analyst, you’ll bring a mix of analytical expertise, industry knowledge, and strong stakeholder management skills.

•    Industry Awareness – You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have up-to-date knowledge of the business energy industry, including customer needs and regulations.
•    Project Experience – You have experience working on small to medium-sized projects and are familiar with common delivery approaches like Agile.
•    Stakeholder Engagement – You’re confident in building and managing strong relationships, gaining buy-in, and influencing change.
•    Balanced Decision-Making – You can weigh cost, compliance, and customer needs to recommend the best course of action.
•    Data Storytelling – You’re skilled in data modelling, using insights to tell compelling stories and drive action.
•    Clear Communication – You can break down complex ideas into simple, impactful messages for both internal and external audiences.
•    Adaptability & Initiative – You’re open-minded, proactive, and comfortable working in an ever-changing environment.
•    Technical Skills – Knowledge of Alteryx and Snowflake is a plus, helping you unlock deeper insights from data.
•    Attention to Detail – You ensure accuracy in data and commentary, particularly for regulatory reporting.
•    Collaboration & Feedback – You work well with both your immediate team and the wider analyst community, providing constructive feedback to drive performance improvements.
