Metering Sales Account Manager

Join us as a Metering Sales Account Manager and be responsible for delivering profitable sales growth and excellent customer experience so as to grow the portfolio and deliver revenue, customer growth targets, and the retention of the existing customer portfolio.

You will be fully empowered to make commercial decisions, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, And you’ll be expected to engage with senior stakeholders, escalating where necessary and presenting clear and concise information.

What you’ll be doing…

The primary purpose of this role is to achieve the agreed individual sales targets through the sale of AMR and HH MOP contracts. You will be responsible for renewal and prospect activity, both directly or via Third Party Intermediary’s (TPIs) whilst  complying with all company internal corporate governance and financial authority limits/ Delegations of Authority where applicable. 

The nature of the activity means that some lead times are significantly extended, and you will need to maintain a balance of focus between the opportunity pipeline and current opportunity.

You will need to maintain accurate sales records and be able to report on all activities undertaken, either via the companies systems or on an ad hoc basis, according to business requirements.

The role involves visiting prospects, customers and TPIs, which will involve occassional travel to remote locations, and you’ll be expected to be flexible in respect of working arrangements to comply with customer requirements.

Who you are…

We’re looking for someone with evidence of cross functional working to achieve business goals, together with the understanding of sales mythologies and commercial sales processes. You must have a proven track record of successful delivery.

You’ll be customer focussed and action orientated to deliver an outstanding service to our customers and will be able to effectively demonstrate commercial and business awareness.

In this role you’ll need to challenge the way things are done to look at ways to optimise improvements to the business. This means you’ll need to have a good understanding of EDF’s processes and policies and their significance to the governance of the business.
