Digital Transformation Lead

The Opportunity


The Digital Transformation Lead is responsible for guiding and shaping how technology and human-centred design can deliver an effortless customer experience. The Digital Transformation Lead will be at the heart of identifying opportunities to leverage insight and use this to drive value creation for thte business. The job holder is expected to have a deep understanding of I&C customer needs and the IT systems, digital platforms and existing processes in operation across I&C.

The Person


What does being a great Digital Transformation Lead mean at EDF? 

We are seeking an individual to promote a ‘digital first’ mindset to accelerate the adoption of new features and ways of working.  You will lead I&C wide initiatives that foster innovation and promote customer-centric design whilst creating robust business cases to improve teh wider I&C business.

We will also be looking for individuals to:
 

  • Improve sales effectiveness by identifying new and existing digital tools for teams to use
  • Own and maintain a repository of common assumptions that can be used to create business cases
  • Design closed feedback loops that provide actionable insights at key touchpoints across the customer journey
  • Lead business readiness activities on behalf of I&C Customer Operations for any new digital capabilities
  • Support the Digital Product Manager with establishing customer-focus groups
  • Lead the delivery of complex initiatives with multiple workstreams on behalf of I&C Customer Operations

Knowledge & Skills

 

To be successful within this role you will have the ability in using human centered design (design research / design thinking) to solve customer problems.  You will have a thorough understanding of the energy and the retail industry, specifically  within a driven sales environment.  You will have a strong planning and organisational skill set, able to translate business strategies into clear objectives, plans and team priorities.

We also seek the an individual with the following:
 

  • Experience of digital technologies, delivery methodologies, platforms, user experience, marketing and analytics.
  • Ability to simultaneously drive both operational performance and systemised process improvement
  • Strong track record in a high performing outcome-based (or sales based) environment
  • Able to establish and maintain effective business relationships with key stakeholders at all levels with strong influencing skills
  • Strong relationship building skills that support the ability to engage with a number of diverse work streams to ensure delivery and performance
  • Must have effective presentation skills (senior stakeholders/large groups)
  • Ability to act on behalf of senior stakeholders to implement plans for the operation under own initative
  • Is able to write clear and logical reports/business case recommendations/business papers that simplifies the complex for others to understand
  • Numerate, analytical with commercial acumen, ideally gained in a commercial or financial background.
  • An education to degree level or a demonstration of ability to the same level delivered in a working environment

  • Strong experience of leading virtual teams to effectively deliver project objectives
