Agent Relationship Manager

Do you have exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to plan and monitor progress across multiple actions?

Have you got demonstrable experience of working in cross functional teams?

If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you here at EDF as an Agent Relationship Manager!

The Opportunity

This is an exciting time to join the Relationship Management team with significant changes like Market wide Half Hourly Settlements on the horizon, reshaping how the industry engages with partners.

Your key focus will be to support the Relationship Manager in the delivery of KPI’s by working with MOP and DC Agents as well as other third parties which will help our Supplier and Metering business prosper.

Working within Business Development as part of the EBS Core Services & Metering business unit, you will be expected to build strong relationships with external MOPs, DC’s and other key partners, driving operational performance, setting and tracking improvement plans, and looking for opportunities to optimise 3rd party costs. As such you may be required to travel from time to time, meeting our partners and represent EDF at external forums.

Pay, benefits and culture

Alongside a salary starting from £34,400 and a market-leading pension scheme, we offer a range of flexible benefits to support our people across all aspects of their lives. Your rewards package includes a choice of benefits, such as electric vehicle leasing, enhanced parental leave, health insurance, discounts, and employee pricing.

Flexible working means you can work from home (if you wish), and we’ll provide a suite of IT equipment to ensure that you can work remotely comfortably and effectively. You will however need to travel to our Exeter office when required.

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself. We’re committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility. We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.

We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Relationship Manager, you will be required to prepare, analyse, and present performance data in multiple meetings with our partners. You will work with both Metering and Supply operational teams to understand the challenges they have with our partners and facilitate performance improvement through clear action plan creation and delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

•    Manage our agents to ensure they are performing against the operational performance metrics within their contract.
•    Arrange and host Monthly Business Reviews with key agents, recording actions with delivery date expectations.
•    Coordinating and monitoring internal collaboration sessions, ensuring clear documentation of discussions, and sharing with relevant stakeholders.
•    Ensure we have the right agents appointed on either direct or default arrangements, regularly review our portfolio and ensure the appointments are correct.
•    Escalate complex queries to agents to support operational teams across EBS.
•    Organise and facilitate face to face meetings with our key agents.
•    Represent EDF at Elexon’s Supplier Forum, capturing important industry updates and sharing these with key stakeholders within EBS
•    Deliver a robust view of agent performance across KPI’s that are aligned to several different business units.
•    Identify opportunities to deliver performance and cost improvements, create and deploy plans to realise these opportunities.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone with strong business and industry knowledge with a good understanding of the energy sector and the associated regulatory and competitive landscape and you’ll be able to demonstrate your experience/evidence on how you have fostered a strong relationship which has delivered excellent operational performance.

You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience of effective presentation internally to senior level and to external audiences, and an ability to manage stakeholders.
