The Onshore Wind team is responsible for developing investment cases for projects from planning consent up to Final Investment Decision and handover to the Construction team. The main focus of the team is to support our strategy for growth and our ambition to lead the way in the development of onshore wind through application of our project management framework and commercialisation of projects, leading to the achievement of investment approval. 

We are currently recruiting a Business Development Coordinator position within the Onshore Wind team, with a broad scope to support the delivery of a portfolio of projects managed by Business Development Managers. This is an exciting new role to help embed processes, streamline reporting activity and act as a valuable link to connect projects, apply learnings and generally drive efficiencies across a range of interesting projects.

Day to day you will


•    Support Business Development Managers in the general day-to-day delivery of consented onshore wind developments, including populating risk registers/ contract trackers and updating Project Management Plans
•    Have responsibility for regular written and verbal reporting of consented onshore wind developments to a range of internal stakeholders 
•    Assist internal project governance processes as appropriate, including the production of Gate papers and monitoring of progress and performance against milestones (H&S, economic, social, environmental, political, etc)
•    Co-ordinate route to market opportunities, including working with the S&A Origination team to prepare PPA documentation and working with the wider Onshore Wind project teams to develop CfD auction plans
•    Support Business Development Managers in collating documentation during critical points on projects, specifically: Investment case approval, pre-construction activities, start of construction, procurement, project financing, etc.

The Person


The successful Business Development Coordinator will have knowledge/understanding of project management and life-cycles – particularly in long term investments/ renewables as well as understanding of renewable energy policies and drivers would be beneficial but not essential.

You must have excellent reporting and presentation skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word

You will also have skills of co-ordinating activities and engagement across a matrix structure (e.g. finance, analysis and legal teams), therefore the ability to build effective and lasting relationships with stakeholders.
