The Opportunity...

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.

As a Technical Lead for Sequence 3, you will play a crucial role in the HPC Project's design delivery managed by Integrated Teams across sequences, ensuring consistency across multi-disciplinary activities within your sequence. Sequence 3 specifically encompasses activities related to Civil Works, MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC), and Plant Layout.

What you’ll be doing…

• Driving and coordinating technical and contractual progress across ITB, EME, SPP, and JDO entities, gathering stakeholder inputs, proposing directions for Sequence Pilot approval, and facilitating client alignment.
• Reviewing and addressing early warnings, responses to compensation events, and general communications.
• Assisting in managing scope gaps by collaborating with technical teams to identify and allocate resources through NNB Programs.
• Participating in risk management to ensure comprehensive coverage across all entities and areas.

Who you are…

Your background may include some of the following:

• In-depth familiarity with the organisational structure of Edvance and EPR-e HPC.
• Ability to grasp technical issues across various disciplines including Civil, layout, MEH, SW & anchorage, and propose or challenge potential solutions.
• Strong understanding of contractual obligations and responsibilities related to GenCo 541.
• Skilled in engaging stakeholders and communicating effectively with NNB counterparts.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive mindset.
